Highspeed - Front end Feeling light

Wondering what I could do to fix this....its for my 636.....

from about 180km/h - 200km/h the front end gets light, almost feels the same as when your wheeling.

My biggest concern is if it feels so light at 180km/h, it prob is losing front end grip at lower speeds exiting the corners/straight away's?

What can I do to fix it? Is the bike more squatted to the back, maybe drop the front end a few MM's?

Stock suspension?
Has the ride height been altered with modified dog bones?
What are your sags set at?

Step 1.
Take your bike to some reputable tuner and have a basic suspension set-up done (if you haven't already)

the sag is in the ball park range.....the front is a bit too stiff i suppose...

front sag is closer to 30mm.....

rear is around 37-39mm

Not stock suspension, ohlins rear shock, ohlins in the front internals....

There's the start of your problems.

Reread Caboose's post and act accordingly.

She's sitting too low on the rear. The thing must ride like a Caddy! Stiffen that up to at least 28mm and re-test.
Make note of your compression and rebound settings, both front and rear, and the range you have to work with. Put a zip tie on the fork tube and the shock (a little difficult to do when on bike) to measure the amount of suspension you're using. You don't want to bottom and nor do you want to use too little travel, you want to use most.

Or bring it to someone reputable to inspect and adjust.

There's more to consider than just "rider sag". What are your measurements for "free sag" and "stiction"? If you don't know then you didn't properly set your sag and you're only scratching the surface. You should also consider both front and rear ride height/geometry changes, if applicable.

Isn't he off by only 2 mm's?

Yes but its also 9mm MORE than the front. They should be roughly equal or the rear a bit less sag than the front. If the front sag is 30mm i'd want to see the rear between 25 and 30. I had my 10R set to 25mm front and 18mm rear.

Wow, 18mm in the rear for the street sounds harsh.
