What are your cheapest, yet best mods on your bike? (Less than $50)

Cigarette lighter adapter and modded my front turn signals into marker/turn signals.
Parts came from the scrap yard.
Less than $10 plus a relay.

Mirror extenders. I didn't like the look of my elbows.

A bungee net for carrying stuff. Everybody needs more stuff.

You can probably do the jets for less than 50$ (I paid 25$ for a set), if jets will help your bike.

zip tie throttle throw. I don't think it gets any cheaper unless a mod is bike specific.
Throttle throw?? explain.

Yes, that's what I need.. I hate looking at my elbows too!

Fuel Injected :P

Increasing gas mileage by purchasing and installing premium gas at Shell without crappy ethanol.
I will have to give this a try.. right now I'm getting 350km to a tank with my 22litre, VFR using Esso 87.

Best money spent was having my suspension adjusted (sag set etc) by Ryan at Riders Choice. Recall it was lessa then $50 when I took the bike there for an oil change shortly after getting it. Bike felt like a new bike.

Best one yet!

And @ Macdoc: Do you mind sharing where your tank bag was purchased from for $49?

Cruise control: FREE!!!

I just modified the fast idle lever on my Hayabusa by bending the tab back. When I want to rest my right hand I just pull on the lever. I can cruise anywhere from 80 - 130 depending on how level the road is.

FZ1: Opened up the airbox, removed the plumbing and blocked off my AIS system with 4 pennies and JB Weld, down a tooth in the front sprocket, the Buell footpeg lowering mod to give me an extra 3/4 inch of legroom, and some killer FI maps from tuners posted online...

Of course the exhaust and the PC3 / Ignition Module weren't exactly free...neither was the Bill Mayer seat, the heated grips, the Powerlet outlet, the Watsen lights, the Copperdawg screen (or the MRA Vario screen), the bar snake, the aftermarket handlebars, the Pazzo levers, the monster bar end weights, the integrated turn rear lights, the fender eliminator, the Speedohealer...

I spent too much money on this bike.

I tie-wrapped a Timex watch on my handlebars.
