Yeah what I was trying to imply was that they already had that mentality, and now us the "civilians" have it now because of these bs laws.
No, he could not. He could pull you over and detain you roadside for the local police or the OPP.
I've seen OPP cars giving tickets to motorists on Keel st. and on Steeles st, well over a kilometer away from the 407, what's up with that?
P.S. now you automatically pay $12.50 for every parking ticket you get to help pay for the police officer's overtime hours in trying to fight you, nazi germany move over, nazi canada is taking your place.
Hahaha that was a funny remark. BTW if this idiot was indeed speeding over 50km/h why the hell did he stopped for the cops? If I was speeding like that and saw cherries 1 km behind me believe me that I would not stop until I got to the garage in my house, I would be screwed anyways so why not try to get off scot free?
Forget about stopping for the cops anymore. They got an "it's us vs them" mentality? They've got it now.
what a terrible plan for a funeral man.
They have supercharged engines and can keep up with a motorcycle no problem.
I'm on the 400 every day...I see alot of cops, but also alot of traffic. If you speed through that you're askin for it...LOL Stick with the speed of traffic(ish) and you'll be fine...
They are tired of bikes running.
I'm pretty sure the Police aren't allowed to engage in a 'high speed' chase when there is traffic? They tend to go to other means to catch you at that point, and then throw the book at you for running.its very difficult to outrun a cop on a highway. They have supercharged engines and can keep up with a motorcycle no problem. thats why the guy got boxed in. It takes a good rider with balls and a litre bike to shake them off.

.
Highway Traffic Act applies to all public roads/highways in the province.
... and all police officers in Ontario, regardless of OPP or city cops or anything else, are sworn to uphold the laws of Ontario. A city cop can write a ticket on a 400-series highway (OPP jurisdiction) with just as much validity as an OPP officer can write a ticket on a city street.
Its amazing how many people believe in a "jurisdiction" thing.. where if you make it past a point the Police officer cant ticket you.. Definitely too many people watched too many US TV Shows!
