Ready Honda Demo Day! Saturday June 11

CBR600: My dream bike! This things goes FAST! 2nd gear and I'm hitting 150...still more to go on the tach! It's very low, Kinda feels like I"m hovering over it like the cbr250. I can see why my wrists and back would kill. Seating positing for me was a comfortable fit when I'm tucked in. Very responsive engine and I just loved the take off. 9/10

And where in the world did you hit 150 on that demo??

there were some alright little roads where you could pin it...I only rode the CBR1000rr, VFR1200, and then lastly the 250r, yea I worked my way down....the 1K and Viffer were pretty beastly but comfortable for me at the same time. Even going from the Ninja 250r, the CBR250r felt real wimpy. I'll stick with the Ninja for sure, I'm not running out of steam mid turn .
HorizonXp has some videos he got on his go pro...we tried to rip it every chance we got.

I could barely get in 3rd gear on Varadero. Maybe things changed but second ride was on side roads with 60 limit and nobody was going faster than that. Maybe you guys took wrong turn somewhere and had to catch up ;)

Pfft, you gotta ride that **** like you stole it man!

I definitely hit 140 a couple of times, just trying to see how quick these bikes were. I rode the CBR250R, then the VFR800, then the VFR1200, and putted around the parking lot on a CBR1000. I've got videos, I'll edit them and post it up.

The CBR250R is a decent little bike, you can't go wrong getting it as a starter. The features and tech on it are better than the Ninja. Digital speedo, ABS, FI, all are great features that are welcome on a starter bike. But I didn't feel like the FI made the fueling that much better, and I didn't really get a chance to try the ABS. Digital speedo is nice, but to be honest, you shouldn't be looking at it too often anyway.

There are 2 major pitfalls to the bike. The first is its looks, being modelled after the VFR1200. It's not the worst looking bike out there, but sorry, the Ninja looks better. But it's that single cylinder engine that really holds this bike back. Every time LoneRonin and I rode it, we'd hit that redline so quickly. You just plain run out of revs, because it has no top end. And it vibrates a LOT, and that's coming from me riding my Ninja regularly at 10k rpm. On my Ninja, you feel the vibes in your hands and feet. On the CBR, it's all over your body, kinda like a Harley! Maybe not that bad, but still.

I still say that if you're buying a starter bike, a used new-gen Ninja 250 is a better bet than the CBR250. And LoneRonin and I agree, only do that if you're under 25 and insurance is an issue for you. Otherwise, get an SV650.

The VFR800 and 1200 were awesome bikes. I think the 800 may be what I upgrade to. That white fit me so well, and that growl coming from the Two Brothers pipes was orgasmic. I could masturbate to that noise. It even has the grab handles, and the undertail pipes positioned perfectly for me to make sweet love to that bike! LOL!

Again, I'll post up the videos later.

Smooth as in engine vibes?

I was referring to the power delivery. The 600rr felt like the throttle was on/off, while the 1000rr I could control very precisely. Probably to do with the gearing. Also, I was the first person to take the 600rr out, so it might have been a little cold which could have added to that on/off throttle.

I went on 600RR in the 5th session, and the bike was pretty smooth. Maybe you're right - it was cold when you too it out.
