you have no idea. But i learned to enjoy it. The other day i was teasing him, he wanted to take a picture of the bike, so i stood in front of my plate, than he goes to the vin, so i put my hand on the vin and smile. so than he tells me: "you're quite the character" I replied with a huge smile. We kept on doing it for no joke, about 2 minutes, by the end I was having such a good laugh and he was FURIOUS. I told him i'd move, which i did, he left and i was back 2 minutes later
The thing that bothers me is that one day you can get a $20 ticket and the next they'll throw a $200 or $100 ticket at the same spot. you could be parked in the middle of a field and they'll throw you a: "obstructing sidewalk" ticket... ever since than, i have my fun with them.

If I leave my bike parked there say between 9am and 6pm and I get a couple of tickets, do they eventually try to tow? Or is their whole ticketing system just some sort of sham to make a quick buck off you York students?
if you park where you google mapped, they wont ticket you. you can leave it there for weeks, you won't get a ticket (a little rust but no ticket).
i on the other hand park in more convenient areas to save me time and money, i see it as if i park closer, it is more convenient to go home and eat rather than spend food at school.
I was parking between seneca and tel for a few months, but a month ago I came out to see some guy sitting on my bike while his buddy took a pic on his phone. I was so stunned I did not know what to do - these were obviously not riders, just some random idiots. I politely explained to them that this was inappropriate, I am a prof at York so saying what I really wanted to say and doing what I really wanted to do could have got me in some trouble. Now I am paranoid and do not feel comfortable parking there. Now I park illegally right outside my classroom window. Been doing this for a month now - parking guy came by once, I explained why I park there, and he said as long as no one complained there wouldn't be a problem.
What the **** dude? You serious? I'm sorry that you had to experience that. I won't lie but Seneca is full of ****ing idiots (I go there, I'm originally from Western). They get weeded out but no where near as fast as university does it thanks to the extremely lenient fail rates. If I were you, I would have just taken their names down, force them to let me see ID, and then file a report that I was missing x amount of $ from my bike. Again, sorry that you had to deal with that.
Watch out for the parking guys they say one thing and then next thing you know you have a ticket... They're ********.

Yea i always used to park @ Vanier, but as soon as April hit these dousche bags were going on a power trip. I ****in flipped, almost killed the parking meter ****.

Got some ticket in the mail & it's like $105. I never registered my bike for a parking permit, so am I still safe? I don't want to let it accumulate with administrative fees under the pretense that I don't technically have to pay this, only to have to pay it in the end when it's an insane amount.

I've been getting that for the last six months. Problem for you is that your bike is registered under your name and when you go to graduate they might not release your degree. For me, bike isn't under my name so I don't have to worry about that. I'm waiting for 2 yrs to pass until the ticket issue date. After that even if they want to take it to court I'll gladly oblige them.

I was actually so excited for school, and right before I headed out to my first class, I get the ticket in the mail. Goddammit, York.
The only place that's 100% safe and free from tickets is the little lot btw Tel and Seneca.I'm an employee at York and speak from experience.One of the security guys is a member here ,goes by the name Fletch.I got the info first hand and it ticked me off.I paid before I found out.
Anywhere else on the property is rolling the dice.The village sucks and there tickets are the real deal.York's may be quasi legal and they don't touch your renewal rights but they will hold your transcripts after graduation and show up on your credit report.

hahaha! Couldn't have been me, though. I usually just filter with all the construction/traffic going on
btw, I hope the car's worth it, dude - the weather's finally looking up
I used to be able to choose which to use but now with the other side of the garage gone, no choice.... The car is very convenient. I will probably be using it one last time this weekend before I winterize.
I do miss arriving at work dirty and wet but with a huge smile on my face

I'm going to York every thursday for school, riding there have saved me quite a few bucks consider it would've been $15 everytime. Too bad the weather's getting colder, gonna have to start paying...booo
