I thought I had lost my old licence plate from like 2008.. but I found it sitting in a drawer. Guess I put it in a safe place :confused1:

I have the permit portion as well, so my question is.. what can I do with this? I already got a new plate for my bike. Should I give it back to the ministry.. do I get money for it?

You would only get money for it if the sticker is still valid, they would refund you the remaining months.

Hang it in your garage, it's a nice decoration now. I have 4 sets of plates in my garage. :D
Or save it for when you get a second bike.

I'll give him $11

i'll go big and say ill give you $20 for it.

its worth it. i can ride like a demon, run from cops, and if they grab my plate... whatever... they'll end up at your door.

Found my old plate too - 26 years later sitting a drawer for safe keeping. LMAO!

You can transfer a plate to another person... a spouse. My first plate from 25 years ago is on my bike. Also have a couple more newer ones that are waiting for something to put them on. :D

:o

I hate it when I put things somewhere for safe keeping (or "where i'll find them for sure.") and then never find them again.

In my early years, I had my car in my dad's name to keep my insurance lower...

When he died, the ministry wouldn't let me xfer the plate into my name unless i showed them a death cert. But they would have xferred if I did show it.

I have quite a few "two of everything" due to putting things in a safe place never to find later. It is sometimes easier to just buy another one.

If I want to find something again I have my wife file it and presto.... it appears when I ask for it.

Actually the plate has several stickers under the 1985 date as I purchased the bike in the fall of 1982...

1985 ..... has tons of meaning for me too... year I got married for one.
