According to topspeed.com the K6 750 puts out about 127HP and the K6 1000 puts out about 152 HP...
Never ridden a 1000 so i can't speak out of experience but i will gladly sacrifice 25 HP for better handling and a more forgiving ride!

True for 2006 but I thought you were looking at the 08/09 model though (as stated in the poll), where the difference is about 40hp.
At any rate, for that year, the liter bike is only 10lbs heavier so if performance is what you're looking for, the 750 will not be comparable to 1000.

BMW K 1200 R Sport - Sport touring version of the insane K1200R (Naked)

Have not seen too many so they were not likely imported to Canada but I do see one for sale and just thinking how do I slip it into the garage? Well it is the same colour of my FZ1 (Silver)

Hmm ... price isn't too bad on that one. 2007, though? Wow ... can't believe it's been five years already.

ZX10R if money IS an issue!!!! They were under selling yams and hondas by a couple grand when I picked up my 09!!! $14,300 taxes in with extended warranty!!! Hit up Jack and Jill's in midland and see what they might be offering these days.

If money isn't your issue, BMWs1000rr (you know you wanna for the bragging rights).

If style is your choice but you don't wanna be challenged at every light AND lose, avoid the Ducati 1098, or 1198, but go for the cafe retro Sport 1000 model. Mmmmm smell the special blend aroma!

If you got time and money KTM RC8RR.

Lose with a 1098, 1198? I don't think so.

GSXR-750 still wining, by a small margin over the zx10. Thank you to everyone that posted, obviously my choice wont be due to GTAM's opinions but you guys have helped me validate my decision and have made me open up to different models I hadn't considered before.

Now I will start to bike hunt and let you guys know what i got...once i get back from this damm work trip at the end of May

Paulo, I think you need a 250 to tame your hooliganism. ;)

On a serious note, my vote is also on the 750.
I have this friend and he had a 250 and he was the biggest Holligan....sounds familiar? his handle is some horoscope sign or something like that ;)

So finally decided and found it, Buying it this weekend - Hopefully it isn't sold by then, I am in Montreal until Friday. I will post pics

I hope it's the gixxer750. I think that it's the one that makes your eyes bug out.
