Scala G4, worth it?

Thanks man. Yeah I honestly get bored of the music I have quickly so nice to have FM.

I understand, I music first then live everything else.. which makes it a bit hard lately in my full face helmet...

I hate not having music.. my brain starts to hurt, but then again right now I am getting the bike skills thought out one at a time :) cuz im a total noob :)

Ordered the G4 and I also have the Zumo 660 and an iphone. For those with the G4 can I stream music from the iphone, as well as the navigation from the Zumo?

I used to have an old 3G iphone and the Blutooth was only able to be used with a certain set of bluetooth devices, no music streaming.

I dunno if that changed with newer models, but the iphone really sucked at it.

I believe so, just pair your phone to the Gps, then the Gps to the G4.

Which is the best GPS out there? or I mean the best for $$

Im in the same boat (shopping for a GPS) Here is what I have it down to:

The second one I have seen in person and it is recomended by a fellow rider... but is it worth almost $500 more? Why? Anyone with gps experience explain it?:)

One has bluetooth and the other does not, Zumo are meant for motorcycles "waterproof" and stuff. Check the battery life in both is crazy long, most gps are 3/hours.

I did notice that Futureshop has Garmin Nuvi 775T listed for $229 buck, compare to the $400 usually listed for, they are refurbished tho..
the gps have bluetooth with A2DP but no battery life 3hours :(

if you have a headseat like scala g4, you should get a A2DP compatible gps so you can hear it.

Anyway, yes please other riders input is greatly accepted.
Tho i know they will ***** about going old school with maps :read: which i don't mind, but once on a while you need a GPS.

Will the G4 pair to just a iPhone 3GS? I'd use it to play tunes and make/take calls

Only one thing I dont like with scala is how it stick out below the helmet. I find this bothersome for doing head check, it do get caught on my jacket shoulder.
I use the basic teamset, and will upgrade to 4 once i find a solution for these. I find how the blue ant interphone mounts to the helmet better.

+1. I have the same issue with the bulkiness of the unit.

I have the same issue, but only withone of my sets of leathers. Theother2 sets are fine, and with my textile suit its fine as well. It must be a combination of the Scala's size and shape, paired with the design of the shoulder armour in that particular suit.

I have 3G, it works fine, just no voice dial.
