Zx7r Electrical......

So I bought this heap of a pile zx7r, I wanted to use as a track bike but ever since I picked it up its been nothing but a headache. When I tested the thing out it seamed ok, other then needing breaks. But when I got it home I tried to start the thing and nothing. Basically it would start if as soon as I flicked the key hit the ignition, if I missed the interval, nothing. I coulds try again by taping the fuse box and it would fire up but now nothing. Has anyone ever experienced this? I looked it up online and it doesn't look to promising....

I think so too, cause that's the box under the seat correct? Replace the relay too then?

the old tapperoo no longer works hahaha but did at first, now no response. oh well.

check the fuses, also you could have "tapped" it too much and if there was a broken wire it could have broken off or disconnnected. Before checking all ofthis though it is most like;y the battery. I had a very similar problem with mne, turned out my battery was done. i threw in a shorai and now it starts everytime. Also could be battery connection not clean or tight enough

Yeah, as mentioned it doesn't sound too-too bad...
Obviously start with a known-good (load tested) battery and go from there, being methodical.
The only way to put major coin into it would be if the charging system... isn't. :tongue:
