Zombie Run

So every year at work we do a team building event and this year someone suggested something new...

Have you guys ever heard of this or ever done it?

I'm up for the run but... zombies and clowns are my two biggest fears and I'm wondering how badly this will scar me if I decided to participate! lol
 
I did the run in Baltimore.

Well organized, good people. The run was awesome, there was zombies everywhere. They recruited a local air cadets squadron to play the zombies. It's like flag football meets tag. You get 3 flags for the course. If all your flags are grabbed. You're dead. If you keep your flags, you get a ribbon at the end and you know your run time. The course is like an obstacle course. So ontop of running, dodging zombies, you also have to scale fences, swim across a pond, crawl through barrels.

Good times.

The ones I had in Baltimore wouldn't chase you, they just try to grab the flags. So as long as you can dive, duck and dodge.....

It was pretty awesome. You WILL get wet and muddy. They really go all out. The actors wear make-up, they dress and act the part. You get a bag of free swag. You usually get a t-shirt for participating. At the end of the run you have to climb or slide under a chain link fence into the "safe zone" The party zone is all done up like a zombie compound / military base. The runners are released in waves. So when you sign up you get a wave time. I suggest doing it with a group of friends. I had a team of 3. We helped each other through the obstacles

There are about 8 or so of us that are registering for it. I already told all the guys that they are supposed to run in a formation to protect my ***! lol
 
Hmmmm, I may go simply to check it out. I can see some great photos coming out of this
 
This sounds fun but I wouldn't want some psycho zombie to rip all my clothes off and start knawing on my face for an afternoon snack!!! That other thread freaked me out...
 
I think I might actually be down for this. But for the zombies' sake I hope they frisk registrants for weapons. How cool would this be though if they mixed it with paintball!
 
This is not a good idea for me. I'm way too competitive and would likely end up throwing shoulders in to these actors if they get in the way or too close.
 
I think my instincts would get the best of me. I would start punching out some zombies in the face in they try to touch me

i have the same issue... but it would be worse coming from me cause zombies totally creep me out! Lets see if my fear helps me set a course record! lmao

They search you at the door. They also don't allow pets of any sort.
