Zoan vs Kaos Carbon Fibre Helmets, are these the same?

Comparing pictures, they look like they might be. I’ve found some positive info online about the Kaos helmet and was thinking of picking one up until I found the Zoan helmet for a little cheaper. The only difference that I see right off the bat is that the Zoan helmet doesn’t come with the extra windshield. Anyone here know if they are the same helmet branded differently, or are they different helmets altogether?
 
Just looking at the Zoan, I can tell it's completely different than the Kaos. I have no idea which is better/worse, but I do know they are not the same.
 
They could be cheaper. There was a huge demand for carbon mat a few years ago that drove up the price of all carbon stuff, but now new factories in Taiwan are exceeding demand again (Airbus bought almost all production for three years).

If they would make CF helmets without the visible weave and paint, they would be cheaper than fiberglass.
 
Incredibly light helmet. I am very tempted to buy one, but I am a bit reluctant to go away from my Shark helmets that are proven to be top of the line.
Any idea if these are ECE certified?
 
i got a kaos helmet in matte black. i'm usually a cheap *** with helmets but i splurged on the carbon fiber one this time since it came with 2 visors.

My /Zoan/ I mean Kaos arrived today, looks and fits amazing. It's replacing a Shark RSR2 which will be relegated to spare helmet duties.

Just a thought, I guess helmet weight can have a considerable effect on injuries. A light helmet is probably a lot better for the neck in case of a roll. Weird, I never saw any safety articles mentioning helmet weight.

How much did you get the zoan for, and how does it's sizing compare to the RSR2?

My bad, it's a Kaos. I got it from Blue Streak, price above plus tax and shipping to Ottawa. It was an amazing deal as far as I am concerned since they are $300 locally. Both helmets are XL and fit similarly at first blush. The Kaos might be a little more snug but it's brand new and my RSR2 is pretty old and well worn. I can't really say much more about the fit on the Kaos though since I've only tried it on once when it arrived and then put it up on the shelf till spring.
