For those that are ATGATT. What socks do you wear to keep your feet cool? Is there anything similar to under armour heat gear for your feet?

I'm going to try out some coolmax socks, looking to see what others are using.....or are people just going bare foot?

I just wear normal cotton socks. I don't find my feet getting overly hot and I wear Alpinestars S-MX 6 boots.

Sock liners (hiking store) under light wool blend socks will wick away moisture and keep your feet cooler.Cotton is the worst thing to wear.

merino wool, MEC sail stores, most good menswear will have (brooks bros)

I buy the winter sports ski socks on sale right now. Instead of $20+ for knee high merino wool/smart wool you can get them from 10-15 instead. I find they are perfect, even have a little ventilation on the top of the foot. If you're in the U.S. look in ***** sporting goods. I got Oakley merino wool ski socks for $9 a piece.

I also wear merino wool socks. I bought them at Sail in the hunting section, had them on all day today from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm in my Swat boots the temperature was in the high 20's low 30's my feet were awesome. Did take boots and socks of for half hour at lunch to cool off and I swear the socks made my feet feel cooler when I put them back on.

Merino wool is good, I grabbed a pair of Klim riding socks at GP for $10 on sale. Worth every penny! Good socks (and saxx!) are essential.

Another vote for wool. I wear shorty Smartwool socks, available at any running or outdoor store. Keep my feet warm when it's cold, cool when it's hot and absorb moisture when I'm either sweating to death or its raining. Much better than polyester. And they don't smell, so great for multi day tours..

Regular socks and SMX-2 boots...never had any issues here.

it really depends on your feet, mine sweat. I tried everything till I discovered merino wool, I get the hiking ski sock style for winter and the lightweight hikers/outdoor socks for summer. I buy the dress socks from Brooks bros for everyday work wear.
I even wear them racing sailboats, my feet would get soaked in cotton socks and feel gross all day, in merino they can be wet and feel ok and dry nearly twice as fast. All the socks I currently own are wool.

Sometimes I just shift my boots around and I'm able to catch a bit of breeze to cool down my feet. If thing's get really gross, I will find shade for a few minutes and air them out
