They've been cooking this for so long it BETTER be good
I mean... that is what I'm expecting. I dunno why just slapping plastic on the MT-09 would take... TEN years? (four if you count from the last update)
10 years it was likely going to have an inline 4 in it still, imo.

I am not at all convinced Yamaha cares enough if the R9 is/was class eligible for anything in order to sell it
I guess this will stimy the North America release of the XSR900GP.

It's pretty cheap for Yamaha to make multiple variations and certify them for sale when, to the emissions regulators, they're all the same under the skin and the decorations outside don't matter. There's no reason Yamaha couldn't sell this in parallel with the XSR900GP.

It took 5 years for them to bring in the T-7, I'm not holding my breath for the XSR900GP.
