A Mauldin man is facing multiple charges after police said he posted GoPro videos of himself fleeing from police on YouTube.

Mauldin police said 26-year-old Derek Kellett faces five different counts of reckless driving, all of which involve five separate clips uploaded to the YouTube.

Police said they received a tip on a social media site that led them to the videos, which they said showed the suspect reaching speeds upwards of 115 mph.

The videos were posted by the user RiderLifeStyle, according to police. One of the videos on the user's page is titled "Yamaha R6 Runs From Cops- Full High Speed Chase!!"

They said they were able to track him down pretty quickly after they saw the videos.

"My first reaction was 'wow,' how did this person not wreck?" said Sgt. Ben Ford with the Mauldin Police Department. "The speed at which he was going, in and out of traffic, just very bold driving and dangerous driving."

Police seized a computer, files and a GoPro camera that was reportedly used to film the incidents, officers said.

"We really take serious the driving he was doing and we don't want others to congratulate him because people could die from that behavior," said Ford.

At a bond hearing on Thursday, a judge gave Kellett $445 cash bond on each charge.

Hahaha, they always post the videos for reps.
They basically dig their own graves.

Nice videos nonetheless. There were a few things he could of improved on, but I'm not gonna say anything.

Me thinks he could have shaved atleast 10 seconds off each corner.

lol

what a dummy

Why....would you post that on youtube for the world to see

Do nerves come into play at all with this? I got pulled over last night for ripping though town and I was so nervous that it would definitely have affected my riding if I ran, very easily leading to mistakes that could kill me. Luckily, the cop had to go to another call so he just gave me a stern "slow down"

You're gone and out of site within seconds

Hard to tell from video, but it really didn't look like he was going all that fast trying to get away. Usually the fisheye on a GoPro exaggerates speed. Definitely some risky moves through traffic.

I do love his thinking. The whole thing is over and the only thing to prove it was him is the memory card in his GoPro. Delete it? No way! Put it on the internet for all to see!

The original Eff the police and run video:

I could listen to that engine all day.

I was rooting for him to get away until I found out he was cocky enough to post his exploit to youtube right away.

At what point while watching the video on YouTube did you find out he posted his video to YouTube?
