Needs a few things done to get water out of the motor/carbs. I'm sure if they go about it the right way she'll fire up as if nothing ever happened.

^ I would think that draining the carbs, gas tank and changing the oil would be a good idea.

Drain carbs. Drain gas. Tip it up to get water out of exhaust. Take out spark plug and crank it a few times to blow the water out of the cylinder.

If the piston seals were good the water shouldn't get into the oil.

I'd drain every fluid including engine oil.
Similar process to when we sink sleds. Drain fuel, drain carbs, pull plugs out, turn it over a bunch to get the water out, get water out of exhaust and put back together. 4 stroke makes it more complicated, but similar idea.
