did it start?

Needs a few things done to get water out of the motor/carbs. I'm sure if they go about it the right way she'll fire up as if nothing ever happened.

^ I would think that draining the carbs, gas tank and changing the oil would be a good idea.

That looked like fun! :)
 
If the piston seals were good the water shouldn't get into the oil.

What about the crankcase vent(s) ?
 
I'd drain every fluid including engine oil.
Similar process to when we sink sleds. Drain fuel, drain carbs, pull plugs out, turn it over a bunch to get the water out, get water out of exhaust and put back together. 4 stroke makes it more complicated, but similar idea.
