www.re-gear.ca problems

So i checked out the site and its not developed yet so I sent an email to ask if they had any leather racing jackets (armour&leather).

I got a quick reply asking for my size, I sent my size and got a email back in return. This then turned sour when he asked if I wanted a racing suit, and I told him all I was looking for was a leather racing jacket.

Afterwards he kept sending me pictures of racing suits with prices, asking me if I wanted them but I kept telling him I am not interested in any racing suits one or two piece, all I am looking for is a leather jacket but he still is asking if I want a racing suit.

Bad first impression but it doesn't sound like customer service would go very well. They do have good prices though as the racing suits he sent me were listed as $1200 retail for $300 although it is used.

Alex is a really nice guy. Seems like a communication problem.
My first impression was they are starting a new business and are looking out to help riders with decent prices.
Check it out. Not everybody can afford top end equipment. Here is another way to get something decent.
FYI... I am in no way what-so-ever related.
Just like the idea and wish them luck.

We are all about timely responses to inquiries through our web site or on this forum even after business hours which we have proven.

After a couple of emails I determined that this person would fit a size Small or 40 in a leather jacket.

I responded that we did not currently have just a Leather Jacket in that size but he was specific about wanting a "Racing Jacket" so I suggested the idea of considering one of the two piece suits that we have in that size.

The one Joe Rocket suit is priced at $125.00 and the Spyke is priced at $300.00 and since they are two piece suits the jacket could be worn on it's own if he chose to. The idea of having matching pants at that price is a great idea since he may in the future chose to do a track day.

We always try to provide the best possible value for people hard earned money, I guess in this case our advise was not well received.

Yeah I saw the other thread he is definitely a stand up guy, hope I can get to the shop in person one day to see the inventory.

It was a good suggestion but I did say I was only interested in the leather racing jacket numerous times after being pointed towards a racing suit but you kind of pushed it upon me as if I didn't know what I was interested in. It's one thing to mention a suggestion but another thing to try and persuade someone to buy something they already said they don't wish to buy. Other then that I can say the business looks like a great idea, great prices and quick responses.
