3 car accident, NO INJURIES REPORTED!

The result? Close down the entire highway :rolleyes:

Why couldn't the far right lane or 2 be open? Do these people understand just how busy highway 401 is? Here's a hint, its the busiest highway in north america, and they're gonna shut down the entire thing while they mop up a fender bender?

cause its good for the economy. some cars might overheat, and need repair, all services req'd bill to whoever.

iv'e seen the cops show up at a fender bender and not block the rd, but hey it's a whole different wreck when the fire guys show up. some of them can be a real pita

inferno gonna be mad now.

which takes me to the second point, why the **** are there 5 fire trucks at a scene with no injuries? what are they doing besides holding up traffic?
go back to the fire station and play playstation, we've got places to go :)
 
The "Safety comes first" is really starting to get taken out of context.

People out there have a really wild imagination when it comes to what "might" happen, and therefore we have all these ludicrous safety protocols etc added.
 
power wash the roads with the fire trucks. roll the cars into the ditch and come back when rush hour is over to clean the rest up
 
I've definitely seen the fire department block off at least 2 lanes with their truck for a minor fender bender that the cars probably could've been driven away from, on more than one occasion.

I've been known to yell at drivers that get in minor ding accidents and then leave their cars in the middle of the road until emergency services show up. If the car can drive or even be pushed, move it and stop blocking the road like a dick.

I was minorly rear ended on the 401 (traffic did the 120-0 in an instant thing). Guy behind me couldn't get stopped in time. Got out, had a look and told him to follow me up the next exit so nobody else would get hit.
People lose all sense when even minor things like that happen. He was shaking like a leaf and fairly upset, I doubt he would have had the mindset to get off the highway... So yelling at people to move might click them in to getting off the highway lol.

I always get out quickly, have a look, and then tell them to just pull over or follow me to the next parking lot to exchange information. I had one where I just drove over to the next parking lot and then walked back to the person screaming about how I left the scene. In that one the only damage to the car was a $15 plate holder, lol. She chose to leave the car blocking the only exit from the parking lot it happened in.
