Does anyone else not see a driver?

That was my first reaction when I pulled up behind them. But it's actually being towed by the fortwo in front of it. Which brings me to my next question; is it legally allowed to be driven on the road? The licence plate says "historic".

A fortwo can tow? WTF....
I keep seeing Echo hatchbacks with canoes on top and small trailers behind them in the summer. They aren't much larger.A fortwo can tow? WTF....

I've seen a dirt bike on a trailer behind one. I instantly regretted selling my MINI because I thought it couldn't tow.

Can and should aren't always the same. With a small car and automatic transmission most manufacturers say you can't tow and personally I would also say you shouldn't. With a manual transmission, some manufacturers say you can't, but assuming you keep the weight down, it should work fine. On my old Golf I towed ~1500 lbs for a few 4 hour trips (including through the 507). Just kept it in fourth and let it slow down while climbing hills. I had no problems at all.
The real question for the guy above is why is he towing it? It's a cool car, drive the mother.
