WTB : s/s or s/t around $4000

Hi, I'm want to buy a bike asap for the summer but not going to buy a new bike until i get a but more experience and in the fall/winter when they are on sale. So, what i;m looking for (roughly):
- milage not too high (under 30 000km)
-2003+
- 500cc - 800cc
- fairly good condition, scratches to be expected
-well maintained, certified
- prefer stock

possible bikes: 04 + Katana, '05+ ninja 636, 650r, 06+ SV650SA etc

i'd like to pay between $3000 - $4000 +/-
