Few things.. Speeding in the right lane.. especially passing bigger trucks = Bad idea.

I would have tried my best to avoid the car than to brake. Doubt I would be able to stay up in that scenario. I would have smacked the car for sure (target fixation)
 
From that footage it's hard to tell if the bike was even braking. I would also argue the bike only clipped the car so staying upright would have been easier to obtain. Still pretty scary. Why isn't the cop in the left lane?

Actually I had exact the same thing on 407 exit to 404. I was in the right lane to exit, and a bastard passed a truck, and than pulled from the third lane through two lanes to the right cutting me off. He never saw me.

So, that's not an unique situation, and the bike rider on the vid did not pay enough attention though.
 
If that was a police cruiser, I'll eat my hat.

Makes for a great you tube vid title though. :rolleyes:
 
Easy to second guess the rider watching the vid but i could see that car was going to swing through both lanes and end up in his lane the second it starts going right, seems as though he wasn't watching far enough ahead or has bad peripheral vision. Pretty good save to not go down but doesn't look like he made full contact. I would have just jumped the car myself, dukes of hazzard style. .:rolleyes:
