Wot kind of horse does your bike remind you of ?.

My bikes is white. It reminds me of The Lone Rangers horse "Silver". Sometimes when I'm out for a ride I find myself yelling into the wind "hiyow Silver away !".
With my helmet on I imagine people are asking themselves "who was that masked man" . If I'm riding with someone I pretend they are "Tonto" & I am "Keemosabe" .

Wot about you guys ?. Any dappled mares, painted ponies, devil horses ?. Is your klr 650 or V strom your faithful mule ?. Maybe your touring mount is a Clydesdale ?.

My bike is white as well. When I first got it, it was really loud. pretty much straight piped with two tiny little mufflers, it literally sounded like thunder with the V4 barely muffled.

It's kind of dark but I envision what the white horse from Revelations would be if it was a motorcycle.

"And I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder: one of the four beasts saying: "Come and see." And I saw. And behold, a white horse."

Heard it in the Johnny Cash song Man Comes Around shortly after I picked up the bike, and it stuck.

I'm a bit odd, please don't judge me

I don't know why but I don't necessarily like white bikes.

The only 2 bikes or type of bike that I think look good in white is the VFR a cruiser like @sburns has and has posted pictures of here.

Maybe because the first VFR I saw was white and the cruiser looks like a old school cop bike.

The GL1500 reminded me of a horse I road many years ago. It was a cross between a heavy draft horse and something else. I'm not particularly short and needed a ladder to get on it. It road like a Cadillac.

I know 3 are Mongolian ponies but I'm not sure what the other 2 are.

2017 versys 1000 LT is like a black leopard. My KLR 650 is like a pack mule, my harley is like a harley

I've heard some horses can be pretty stupid/neurotic, so

Hmm interesting thread.. I know nothing of horses, but yeah I could see it. Maybe one of those Carlsburg type horses (if you remember that reference).

Thanks @oioioi !!

Belgian.

Not quite as "rough and tumble" as a Clydesdale, somewhat more refined, but still a heavy hauler. Gentle giant, but can really surprise people in the right hands.

FWIW, I've ridden both a Clydesdale and Belgians. They aren't for everyone as a riding horse, but there are many redeeming qualities for the pleasure riding aspect, mainly in their very pleasant easygoing personalities, lack of flightiness, and desire to please.

My GL1500 reminded me of a plow horse. Strong, dependable but not something I'd bring to a horserace.

Belgians can pull heavier than Clydesdale's, At the county fairs most pulling horses you see are Belgians.

My bike shares absolutely no traits with walking dog food.
