Wondering where i can take my ninja 250 for a checkup :) -(get coolant added too)

Ive had my 2009 ninja 250 for 1 month now, and i wanted to get it checked out by a mechanic, I might be very low on coolant, not sure how to do that. I rather have someone skilled do it once and maybe let me see you know?

so my question is where can i take my bike? I live around QEW and Winston churchill, so preferably somewhere closer?

If all you want to do is check the level. You can do that yourself. Just check it when the bike has cooled down. Preferably prior to starting it or going for a ride. Make sure the bike is as level as possible. If all you have is the kickstand , just straighten out the front wheel. This should be good enough. The collant reservoir bottle is on the right side of the bike , just behind the right turn signal. Get a flashlight and point it through the fairing opening until you can see the coolant in the bottle. There will be a low level line, make sure the level is either above on on the line.
Another way to check is to remove the right side panel just under the seat. It will held there by one screw and three pop in type plugs. Once the cover is off you can access the bottle cap. Unscrew it and look into the bottle. You should be able to see coolant just up to the neck of the bottle.

so the coolant is just touching the bottom line, and its on its kickstand, so does that mean its an alright level?

ALSO another question, when should i be cleaning the chain and lubing it up again? Since getting the bike ive driven about 750km, not sure how much the previous owner had diven it... or when the last oil change was... should i just go get it done? whats your thoughts guys!

buy a repair manual and learn to do it yourself

Go to ningette.org for a lot of the maintainence advise. Find a copy of the service manual or get a copy of the owners manual. They may have a link there.
This is what I do so others may have different advise.
- lube chain every 500 km, clean it every 1,000 km . Shorter intervals if I ride in wet weather.
- Oil and filter change every 3,000 to 5,000 km.

Coolant level should be ok. My bike was always just on the line. For some reason if I added just a little , it would just come out the overflow tube. So as long ss it's just on line I left the level alone.

I would contact the previous owner and as for the owners manual and when the last oil change was done.
If in doubt I would get an oiland filter change done.
