Wishing the internet didn't exist

Why, this should be in the jokes section. Pretty sure either it was done on purpose, or not hard to tell these days with so much content captured for various reasons. If anyting there are some creative funny stuff out there.

If you think that's bad, you should search "motorcycle crash compilation" on YouTube. There are dozens of channels that do nothing except compile clips of motorcycle crashes: Moto Stars, Moto Madness, Kaos Riders, etc.

It's educational, in a way, and one of the big takeaways is that the average skill level of the general motorcycling community is shockingly low.

Any given crash compilation video usually consists of:
  • A BroDude with a helmet cam who intentionally hangs out or accelerates into car blindspots, so that they can manufacture some outrage and post a video about how "cagers are trying to kill us" and get internet points.
  • Rider (sometimes in a group, sometimes solo), who simply rides right off the road in a gentle curve as shown above. This is a combination of target fixation and severely restricted comfort with lean angle. The best examples in this category also take their feet off the pegs and drag them on the ground when they realize they're headed for the guardrail.
  • An enormous BroDude group stunt ride blocking all lanes of a highway or doing burnouts in the middle of an inner city intersection. 95% of the time one of them does a wheelie right into the back of one of their friends or a random car that happens to be in the area. Highlights from these often include a sneaker going into orbit because none of these guys are wearing any kind of gear except maybe a back protector over a T-shirt.
  • Right-of-way violations, both by cars and riders. Usually at intersections or entrances to mini-malls, including a disturbing number of red-light runners. Fewer left-turn incidents than you might imagine, and a lot of the left-turn incidents clearly involve a rider going much faster than the surrounding traffic.
  • Lane-splitting riders getting wiped out by lane changing cars. The lane changers almost always have their turn signal on, the biker is just going way too fast.
