winter tires/rims

I need to pick up a new set of winter tires and rims this year. Anyone have any suggested preferred places to shop in Hamilton/Burlington/Niagara?

try kijiji. There's always sets of rims/tires people need to get rid of

Costco is always pretty good unless you want to try across the border. Michelin X ice tires usually have a rebate on them ....rims are cheap at Costco too.

Kijiji, salvage yards and used tire dealers can have good prices if that is a big factor for you. Costco is pretty good if you want new new.

car is a chev HHR, should be a lot of options out there, Kijiji isn't showing a lot available right now

What size are you looking for? Exactly what bolt pattern?

I have a set of winter tires I need to get rid off, Michelin X ice. I got them last year.

But my guess is that Chevys don't use the Toyota bolt pattern

EDIT: This is the palce where I got my set

Got it last november, steel wheels and 4 Michelin X Ice for $700 taxes included IIRC

tires23 or brampton tire world have the best prices around.

tire: general altimax arctic, go to tirerack.com and read the reviews. number 1 in its category. had it on my car last 3 winters, amazing tire and not as expensive as michelin.

don't buy used tires, people say 70% tread left meanwhile theres like 30%, of which 10% is usuable lol

HHR is a 5 X 110 wheel with a 42mm offset. Common size.

Tires23 is good as is 1010tires who have free shipping for wheel/tire combos right now.

with the time, fuel and duties its a waste of time.
there are good deals to be found locally as long as you stay away from canadian tire

no duties are paid on tires. he said Niagara region so time/fuel aren't likely real issues.

I work in NFalls and live on the edge of Niagara, running over the border is no issue at all. Pick up tires, grab some dinner,...
