Winter storage tip #632

Peppermint oil is one of the only "I read it online" things I know actually works. You don't have to search very far to find people online who found out that things like dryer sheets and irish spring and lots of other things spread around online don't actually work.

Mice have been known to actually eat irish spring bars for that matter, something that's commonly spread around online for keeping mice out of RV's in the winter..

Kerosene soaked rags stuffed in your air box and exhaust will work as well.

Can confirm. My last house had a typical aluminum shed that housed the lawn tractor and other maintenance crap over the winter and my first year there I tossed a half dozen Irish Spring bars as well as a dozen or so dryer sheets in there. Opened it up in the Spring and the bars looked like the one pictured.
