A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital Wednesday evening after crashing his bike into a tree in Halton Hills, a community west of Toronto.
Halton Police said the man was riding his motorcycle down Winston Churchill Boulevard at around 7:09 p.m. when he lost control of the bike and veered off the road.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, reportedly slammed into a tree in the Guelph Street and Adamson Street area.
Police said a passerby called emergency officials and the man was transported to hospital soon after.
Though the extent of the man's injuries is not yet known, air ambulances are typically called for severe incidents, police said.
