While the bike stays on FBMP and Kijiji I'm still toying with items to make it 'better' for my riding. One of the weak points, is the windshield. I bought a small bikini fairing / windscreen and while it helps a little bit...I'd prefer more protection from the wind on the body.

I've seen a few 'universal' windshields, but very few of them will confirm whether they work with the 7/8" bar on the Scrambler.

This one in particular seems like a decently priced option, but KapscoMoto wouldn't confirm whether they work with my bike or not as the manufacturer didn't outright say it.

It 'should' work...but I won't be able to return an item that isn't compatible on the site, and then I complain it doesn't work...

Any other options? Not wanting to spend $200+ on a windshield for a 'potentially keep' option. I had a Spitfire on the Rebel 500 and it was much better than without. GIVI/KAPPA options run around the $200 mark once you add the mounting kit to it.

Same goes for the used FBMP market as majority are Harley type (with the metal frames), and very few people have part numbers on the listing, or any inkling of what it comes with or can be mated to.

Is a Ducati 7/8" different than other 7/8"? Not sure I understand why it won't fit.
That's exactly my thought as well. I was hoping to reach that manufacturer to get confirmation as KAPSCO can't/won't. It could be clearance to get over the speedo...but not sure.

I have minimal experience with this as the only one I bought was for the Rebel and I wish I kept it.

I think Fortnine does free returns. What about a clip on deflector on top of what you have already? You can just take it off when needed.

Not anymore ... small fee (can't recall what it is now but it'll be on their website I'm sure).

Kapsco won't let you test fit it in their parking lot? Otherwise buy, install in the parking lot, and return if it doesn't.
Honestly the thought didn’t even occur to me…I’m so used to buying online I don’t even think of going and trying it.

I wouldn't put any money in accessories for a bike I'm actively trying to sell. As is said so often here, accessories aren't going to bring back much - if anything - on resale.
I’m putting in maybe…$200 for these accessories. If that.

$110 for the paddock stands.

Got a windshield today for $45. The GIVI brackets to try and make my cases fit for $30.

The rear luggage I already had.

And the suspension adjustment was free as it’s just preload. Zero chance I’m spending $1k on a spring for my bike.

Did you make the hard cases work?
Not yet…I need some McGyver magic for that one.

So if any GTAM McGyers are around the area let me know as I’ll need to do some brainstorming.

I can swing by.
Here is my resume.
This Givi Tool box case is NOT suppose to work with my bike and side case racks.
Don't tell me what not to do......

I ended up making one for each side.

That's a Chinesium clone of the classic Slipstreamer Spitfire universal shield -- they've been around for 20+ years, they fit everything!

I used the same screen on a few motorcycles, a snowmobile, and an ATV.

They work well up to 120kmh, then they bounce a bit. They are made of plexi that's easily cut down if you like a smaller profile.

Kapsco sells for the same price on the Jungle website -- returns are easy.

I think your bike would look better with one an aftermarket Batwing.

Have you considered Puig? I used to have one of their universal windscreens in my F800R. It was functional, but not aesthetically pleasing (the bike and the windscreen).

I like Puig and Givi.
I ended up importing a Givi windshield directly from Italy when they first launched as I was too impatient lol:

One of my favourite mods to date as I am little broad shouldered/ big chested. Now I can breeze through until 160/170 with less drag when in Mexico!
