Winding Roads near GTA

Hi Everyone!

I'm tired of all the straight roads in this province and I would love to do some riding on some nice twisties. I did a search and found some good places to check out in the area. I'd love it if some people came along. I don't like riding alone.

The areas I want to check out are Terra Nova, ON and possibly Canal Rd, near Bradford. I'd like to go out tomorrow, Saturday and check it out. We're supposed to have some nice weather. Let me know if you want to join. We'll find a good place to meet up. BTW, I'm coming from Etobicoke.

BTW, here are some good resources I found:

Winding roads near the GTA? Yep in PA, NY, VT...... :)

In the case of Canal Road are a 50 zone and they are very aggressive on speed traps.

There are twisties in Ontario but generally require some mileage to get to as you can see from GTA link you posted.

Enjoy your ride.

Don't ride on Canal Road. The canal is being altered so the road is horribly bumpy and is covered in dust, mud, sand and everything else. Also, it's a very very active farm road, so you'll be stuck behind a tractor or a combine.

Thanks Matthew for warning me about Canal Rd. I'll avoid it. Getting stuck behind a tractor is not FUN.

Plenty of good roads in Muskoka, Kawarthas and Bancroft area. Some decent ones between Toronto and Wasaga and from Hamilton to Lake Erie.
Terra Nova and Forks of Credit = high traffic, plenty of police. Be careful.
Unfortunately we live on an unexciting terrain. Still, be thankful you're not in the Prairies.

No exact plant yet, but I was thinking about Saturday morning start. Not too early, maybe around 10am.
Where about do you live? Where can we meet up?

Let's meet at 10:30am by Pearson Airport, Landing Strip parking lot on Carlingview. It's a strip club by the airport.
