A group of 4 bikes riding through the countryside, come over the crest of a hill doing around 100. Over the crest the posted speed drops to a 50, and the leader starts engine breaking fast immediately after the sign, and passes by 2 cops at a radar trap at likely 30 over (with one rider close behind). The other two riders hit the breaks hard coming over the crest when they spot the trap. To everyone's surprise, the cops don't react.
Curious to get your take on why no attempt to stop the riders was made? I'm wondering with the amount of bikes going at slightly different speeds, is it possible it made it difficult to clearly lock on or single out one of the bikes? I'm imagining letting the riders go out of the goodness of their heart is least likely since it seemed like the prime opportunity to issue a ticket.
Never heard of anything like this before. If this is the case, sounds like you're less likely to get a speeding ticket while riding with a group versus on your own.
