Being towed on Dundas at around 4:00 pm yesterday with the alarm going.

I've known cars to get stolen this way...

Looks like a repo . . :(

I don't see how that looks like a Repo.

If anything it looks like a Bike being towed. Nothing else is obvious.

To the OP: if the alarm was going off, and you know vehicles to get stolen this way, you should have called the police. Gave them the License number and name on the truck and told them.....just incase it was some poor guys bike getting ripped off.

yea, no parking anywhere on major streets in downtown around that time... i've learned my lesson the hardway...
that guy's gonna pay impound fee, towing fee and parking ticket for a few hundred $$

Very handsome dude in the bottom left corner!

Small, small chance that bike was getting stolen. I know. I figured I was being thoughtful but I guess I was just being an as--ole.

So lets just say you had no idea that you weren't allowed to park on the street and your car or bike got towed (but you have no idea that it got towed, you're most likely thinking that it was stolen), when you call the police to report it, will they have this on file?

The owner of the bike either parked illegally at hazards, parked at rush hour times, or parked there and forgot the time to get back. Since it's downtown.. that's the answer.

I had this happen to my car downtown, but this was like 10 years ago so I don't remember exactly what I did. But I'd imagine if you call the cops and give them the location, they can refer you to the impound where vehicles from that area would be towed to. Or at least refer you to Toronto Parking guys and they should have it on file.

Before your vehicle gets towed they're supposed to call and clear it with the police first.

That way, when you call to report it stolen, the police tell you, no, it's been towed or repo'd....and they give you the number of who has it.
