Good day all !

Tried doing a search for best insurance rates and was unable to find a general thread , if I have missed it please be so kind as to post a link .

In your opinion / expereance who offers the best rates for insurance ?

As a new ridder I was quoted 800 on a new Honda CBR 250 with riders plus . Is that about the going rate , or is there another insurance company that I might be over looking ?

Thanks

Sounds way too cheap to me and no, you're not going to find anything less.

Yeah I got about the same from Statefarm. I checked all the other companies also and they all came to around the same for the lowest prices. There were some companies that were rediciulously high too though.

If you look at the very first Sticky in this section it is "Which insurance company will give me the best rates"
Not sure how much you searched lol :D

Also the best way of doing it is to call yourself as that is the only way to get an exact quote.

if you ever post asking questions about insurance rates its a good idea to post your stats...how the hell you expect us to give you answer without knowing your age, driving history etc...
For all I know you could be a new rider at 22 or 52....

Welcome to GTAM. The sticky thread being referred to can be found here:

If you just got your M1 but you already have lots of car insurance experience, you will probably want to quote with State Farm as well -- they should be competitive in your first year of riding, but in your second year you could probably do better with a different company.

Self advertisement for an american company? It won't even let you enter a Postal Code lol
