Hey Everyone,

So I'm turning 22 in January (the 4th).

I'm looking for fun stuff to do with my friends for my birthday.

I need recommendations for the following: Mind you I live in Toronto / would like to stay downtown. Will go out of area if its super good so recommend places if you want to.

1/ Where to eat for dinner (last friends birthday we went to AYCE japanese at Aji Sai). Maybe something around $30-$40 per person. Less would be good also.

2/ Any specific activities? Last year I went gokarting at GPKartways. It was fun.

3/ Good clubs/lounges/bars where I can maybe rent a booth or something similar. I have a student budget so I wouldn't be looking for anywhere too too expensive

overall though, any suggestions or recommendations for w/e surrounding my birthday would be appreciated.

I want to do something fun that is memorable.

Thanks everyone it's always appreciated!

Lol,i have been thinking of posting a thread like this for my 60'th next year.Stubby wants to take me to the IOM. But you're gonna be 22,you go first! Lol

Happy Birthday, fellow Capricorn :)!

Why don't you post your likes and dislikes for entertainment to give us some room to play with ideas?

I would go home from work before 9...

har har

Whiskey a Go-Go

There's a hot dog stand outside.

Will your birthday fall on Mad Sunday?

I hear there's friendly people at Boston Pizza.
Seeing as how you allready rented gokarts last year, why not step it up a notch?
Go rent a fast car and get in a high speed chase with the OPP, that would be exciting and a B-day you'll never forget for sure!

For food, I would've recommended Aji Sai. There's a Japanese & Thai restaurant that's getting pretty good reviews called "Spoon & Fork"

What kind of music do you like? Are you picky with the crowds/type of girls that you want to see when you go clubbing?

If you're into house music, This is London or Tryst would probably be your best bet. If you're looking for a pub, the rose & crown's a great crowd & they have live cover bands playing. Oh, and stay away from London Tap House 'cause they've gone downhill since their management changed over.

Dinner try Copacabana.

Activities try paintball

Club try tryst or c lounge

Copacabana will be out of his budget.

Tryst would be ok......I know the owner.......definitely go there. lol At your age any of the Richmond club district clubs would do really.

Also, if you want more of a bar/pub environment go to Madison's.

Also, someone mentioned Medieval Times......I recently went to Medieval Times for a birthday and I have to admit...it was kinda fun. More fun than I thought it would be but you're 22.......some of your friends might think it's lame so I dunno, that's a tough one.

Chucky Cheese !!! It's got you're food, entertainment, and a booth!

i went to a chucky cheese for my 19th birthday.
the guatemalan chuck-e-cheese served beer.

What is happening to young people these days?

Go to a restaurant you like, it's your ****ing birthday

go to a bar or a strip club and get ******

this is not rocket science!

madisons-is that that the place that's in a big sorta house with 2 or 3 floors?

I think I've been there, I would call it more of a mega-pub

Thanks everyone keep the recommendations coming!

Copacapana looks awesome. How expensive is it roughly per person do you think? Also what is the serving style is it buffet style? Their website is down...

I've already been to medieval times, and I'm sure my friends would not approve (they want to party and spend their money on booze, etc...)

In terms of clubs I'm open to most music. Being in my age group though I'd lean towards house music. Also a fan of drum and bass / dubstep but I don't want to go to a 'rave' for my birthday. I'd probably end up in the club district just I don't frequent clubs too much so I'd like recommendations on the environment / reviews of different clubs etc. In terms of girls its all good to me and my friends. Open to any style/type at this point in our lives lol we can make the best out of any situation. It being my birthday I'd like to dress up at least a little so no super grungy places...

Hey Roasted seeing as you've now made it public that you know the owner of Tryst, would that entail a possible hook-up? No worries if you can't / won't lol worth trying though (poor student over here).

If going clubbing becomes too expensive then pub it is. I've been to madisons before (and I go to UofT). Never been to Rose and Crown. Maybe I'll check it out. Best case scenario I'd like there to be dancing where ever we go. I tend to dance if I'm bored, I am definately the dancing type.

And hey Wingboy, joint birthday party lol? get you in the clubs with a bunch of twenty somethings for a change? If you bring your Duck I'm sure you'll be the star of the party! If you come clubbing with me I'd go to IOM with you!

As of right now I might skip the activity part (for monetary reasons), and do dinner and then club/bar etc

Keep the recommendations coming!!! Hopefully this will turn out to be my best birthday to date!

P.S. Whiskey a go-go is in the cards still, but it really depends on how the earlier portion of the night goes and whether we get bored or not. There is also the question of how to get a bunch of friends and I up there from downtown toronto. Might go to the brass rail (one of my friends dances there, so I'm sure it would be a really fun time! She would definately hook me up).

I would love if it was that easy. But I do that almost every weekend, going to random places and doing random things. I do that on most birthdays as well, no planning involved just go out and get **** faced ending up at the strip club etc.

Thought I'd change it up and put in some thought for this one. Who knows, maybe it'll be worth it in the end.

Going to a wicked restaurant and a wicked club etc makes all the difference in the night I feel, especially for a night like my birthday. I want to make it memorable.
