Where to download documentaries in HD

Depends on what you want, if it is illegal documentaries like movies, try torrent sites. If it is legal, go to the website of whoever made the movie.

Purchase a "jail broken" Apple TV box. I am constantly streaming had documentaries, movies, shows etc.

I love documentaries. I would love to hear opinion on what's fun to watch. I love watch history ones for ancient civilizations. No aliens please...

check out torrentz.com

its like google for torrents and im sure you can find documentaries. If you want to watch online, 1channel might have some.

Or save some dough and buy any number of cheap android media players that don't need to be jailbroken to run xbmc.

Exactly. !
I said apple because their once was a thread where I was in an argument with someone because they sail "jail broken" only meant apple products.
I have the android box. Why pay for the apple name. If you already have xbox or what not you can run the Xmbc through that as well.

I use PS3 mediaserver which uses DLNA, but it does require a wired connection. Wifi won't have enough bandwidth for both uploading and downloading HDTV in the same network at the same time over wifi. Use a crossover cable to your computer or use a router as a switch with cables.

Of course if you have the computer that can stream why not just use that? In my case only 1 monitor.

Also one of the advantages is that the laptop doesn't have enough power to stream 1080p with subtitles in real time, however if you "copy" it to the ps3 hard drive through mediaserver it will then.be able to play at 1080 without freezing. Could be done while you sleep.

Asus O'Play mini is what I use.

If you go to a torrent search engine, be careful about clicking on anything that seems to be what you want. Obviously understand the legality of what you're doing.

Years ago, a friend tried downloading a movie, turned out to be what he thought was a corrupt file. A couple of weeks later, he gets a letter in the mail from a 3rd party company hired by the movie studios to track down illegal downloaders. Basically it was a warning that they had his ip address on record and that if they caught him doing it again, they would throw the book at him with fines. Not sure how legal this tactic was but it's a headache that I'm sure no one wants to deal with.
