Good question. I'm not donating it but I have heard of people donating it to the opposition political party (may as well burn it in my opinion).

Any charity that does work that you're interested in.

Those would be some options I'd consider if I was donating.

That's the dumbest option I have seen. I agree with you. What a useless bunch of wankers the politicians are. They need less money, not more. Charities are a good idea. Or hold it to pay for the impending safety mess. I'm never going to discourage people from donating to a good charity but I don't follow the logic. I guess it was money you spent in the past and got back, but as soon as this fall, there is a reasonable chance that you need more than that to pay for vehicle registration. Then you need to find some money to pay for this added unexpected expense. If I have extra money, I could choose to donate it to a charity at any point and the refund cheque doesn't matter much.

Local rescue or shelter. They're the only non "overhead heavy" charities I'll donate to.

For those of you seriously considering on donating your refund, here's a website I used last year to help me choose which ones I wanted to support...they do a breakdown of their financial transparency, their demonstrated impact, amount of every dollar that actually goes to the cause etc...

Sorry not sure why money I spent, then it was returned to me, needs to be donated.

I’m all for donating, have done so, but this is not extra money or some sort of win fall.

I paid for my stickers via Visa, guess where it went, back on the Visa (ya I had other ideas, wife straightened me out)
