where to buy kitchen cabinet door?

Can you post a picture or describe the door? Craigslist has a free section where people often have rip out cabinets that might work. As far as getting a cabinet shop to do it it will cost a fortune to do a match because you will pay for every setup.

I've matched some wood working in the past and it isn't easy getting new and old to blend. It also depends how picky the cook is on an exact match.

You don't list your location in your profile so I can't help.

hi, thnx for the reply. here is a pic. i'm in GTA. the door is 29 7/8 by 13 5/8. looks like it's pretty generic. the white is not wood, it's a sheet of plastic (?) laminated over a fibreboard. but now the laminate at the bottom is coming off cuz i had a toaster under it for like 3 years lol.

you can buy strips of laminate at hardware stores or go to ikea and try and find something similar. or buy some glue and hack it back together.

Try looking at Restore. They have all kinds of cabinets and loose doors cheap. IIRC when measuring doors and windows the width comes before the height.

thnx guys. tried to glue it but i was impatient so now it looks worse than before lol. what's this Restore place? i searched "restore" on yellowpages but many results came up, dunno which one.

It's part of Habitat for Humanity. One near QEW and Royal York. Bigger one in Brampton off Rutherford. Getting an exact match will be next to impossible but good luck anyway.

Good luck with them! I have many horror stories of customers trying to get replacement components from them with no luck. Either getting now where with customer service or just insane pricing...

Anyways I actually manufacture the kind of door you have there (thermo foil aka PVC) but I am not sure if I have that exact profile cutter to match yours. I would have to actually see the door in person, and check my cutters. Your welcome to come and try your luck if its worth a drive to my shop in Mississauga. PM me if your interested......Even if I dont have the cutter, my sister will most likely know who does and can point you in the right direction...I believe Ive seen that door many times already

Let me ask you something... is this door near an oven or microwave? Or do you possibly use a kettle below it? We have a 5 year warranty on delimitation, and the number one problem is always people using a kettle right under the door. Our adhesive has a catalyst that is supposed to resist the heat from an oven for doors that are close to an oven, but there is nothing we can do when people steam them with a kettle. At that point your melting the PVC and it shrinks, glue isnt even a factor. We usually give them a free replacement the first 1 or 2 times, but after that they have to learn not to use a kettle right under the upper doors...

good to know, thnx for the info. yeah i had a toaster under it for close to 4 years. finally noticed it LOL. is it better to use solid wood cabinet doors then to avoid delamintion? or are they crazy expensive?

We used to make solid wood doors before we switched over to PVC only, and wood doors are way more expensive. We only manufactured them unfinished, and even unfinished they are at least double, then you can spend 10x more on fancy finishing options. With the PVC we can offer the same look as the very expensive real wood finished doors, for a fraction of the price...When we started it was all about white white white, now we have over 70 colors in stock, and some look really fancy, some people dont even realize they are not real wood...Heavy textures is the new trend, and very plain doors too, alot of slab doors with just an edge profile...

And when it comes to heat or water/moisture, they will also get damaged just in a different way. There is no covering to delaminate on a solid wood door, but the finish can discolour and can bubble up. Wood also does not like moisture, they can start to crack at the joints and warp..And Ive also never heard of a warranty being given for solid wood doors either....Our company slogan is actually "the evolution of wood" lol sooner or later real wood is going to be for the very rich only

Ok so my sister said that it does look like a Canac door, problem is Canac went out of business about a year and a half ago. She said to try www.executivewoodwork.com as they were manufacturing some of the doors for Canac.

You can get the same answer if you post the question on a chinese forum, then copy and paste into Google translate, and voila!
