Where to buy household electrical transformer?

Did u try Sayal electronics?

That looked promising but when I gave them a call the guy said they only do industrial.

Any electical wholesaler should have or be able to get them. They will be rated in va (Volt-amps) and there is no such thing as a DC transformer. They are all AC but the ones that show a DC output have a recifier circuit built in. Ask for a control circuit transformer.

Electrosonic in Markham.

Sorry, I meant to quote RockerGuy, it's Sayal that only does industrial. Will check out Active tonight.

Sayal at Dixie and Matheson has plug-in wall adapter transformers. Inside the door, look to your right about five rows or so away from the front wall of the store. The aisle closest to the door is DC output transformers. You want the next aisle over which is all AC output transformers. Pricing varies from $7 to $20, depending on connector.

Whoah. Thanks for the heads up. Save me a trip out there in the future. That's a shame. They have everything!

I got my last batch of electronics from Digi-key. Super prices and service. Pay for the goods, taxes and shipping and they cover everything to get it to your door. Fast service no brokerage charges. Two thumbs up.
