Where to buy a Kawasaki?

So I'm considering buying a new Kawasaki. But doesn't seem like there are too many dealers in the west end. Burlington Cycle is the closest one to me but they close at 6. Makes it impossible to make it there after work.

Any other good places to go check out new Kawasakis that might not be listed on there website?

Thanks.

strugess in hamilton sells them also.

Yeah, these guys are kinda far from me.
Kahuna isn't TOO far, but I've heard so many bad things about that place that I don't really feel like dealing with them. I guess I can give it a try and let them form my opinion directly instead of going on word of mouth.

But from how they have treated my emails, I'm not too optimistic.

I did go to Burlington Cycle. That's a very small dealership. I was expecting a big fancy store, but looks kinda tiny and congested. At least that's how it looked like from outside. Didn't get to go inside as it was closed.

I purchase most of my Honda MC parts through their parts department and I live in Barrie and work in Toronto. That says it all about the service! Nothing but top notch and no hassles.

My wife purchased a Ninja 250 from St Onge in Barrie this year through one of their sales guys namned Gerry. They were excellent to deal with!

yep it is a small dealership.... doesn't mean that you can't get a good deal from them. Same thing with NRC....
Doesn't mean its not worth your while to shop around, but thats just me....
Bigger dealership doesn't mean its gonna be better, or cheaper for that matter

I get most of my parts and supplies at Burlington Cycle. Small place, yeah, but they've been helpful and good to me so far. Their hours are a little prohibiting, though.

Hully-Gully London area still has a 2011 ZX6R for a decent deal. Might be worth a check as they may deal on it to move for new inventory coming in. 519-685-8045 ask for Paul

Dude, give Burlington cycle a call and ask for Rick in sales.

Here is my experience with Burlington cycle and Kahuna when I was shopping for a 250r last month.

I called Kahuna and they wanted me to come in and negotiate. I drove in on a weekend and they were unwilling to negotiate $1 off a MY2011 that they still had in stock. Kawasaki Canada had a $200 discount at the time on leftover 2011s. Kahuna did not even budge $1 on a 2012 indicating that they were flying off the shelves. I spent about 45 minutes there. Left my number as they said they will call me back to follow up.

I went home and wanted for a call with a better offer. I then called back two-three days later(on a Tuesday) between 10am and 12:30pm and all sales associates were stuck in a department meeting. I called once and my wife called three times unable to get in touch with someone past the reception.

While waiting to get in touch with Kahuna, I called Burlington cycle and negotiated with Rick over the phone. I arrived at Burlington cycle an hour later and signed a deal on a 2012 which was even cheaper than the 2011 that Kahuna offered me with the Kawasaki Canada discount.

Funny thing, on my way to Burlington cycle my wife finally got in touch with Kahuna and they asked her to come in again to negotiate. WTF! The staff are nice at Kahuna and stuff, but Burlington cycle gets my vote and my dollar hence forth. they are small but it makes the experience more personal.

Insurance is too much on that one.

I called a couple of dealerships today for a 400. Turns out Kahuna is selling the 2011 Ninja 400R for the same price as Sturgess is willing to sell a 2012 to me for.
I did book an appointment to go and see a sales man at Kahuna. Will see if they are willing to work out a "proper" deal...

Warp 9 if your up by Orangeville

Thanks for all your advice guys.
Went to Kahuna last night. The sales guy was nice, but wasn't really negotiating the price much.

What would you guys consider a good price for a Brand New 2012 Ninja 400r? The MSRP on the bike is $7000.

Meh, given that, it's WORTH the drive to Sturgess!

It would have to be a helluva deal for me to even consider taking a 2011 over the 2012 (on principle alone) i.e. at minimum $1000 off sticker price.

Oh yeah, I totally agree with you. Kahuna did $400 lower on the 2011 than the 2012 and that's because $100 discount came from an increase in Freight charges. (2012 Freight was higher by $100 than 2011 Freight).

So needless to say I won't be buying a bike from them.

What do you think is a good "All in" price for a 2012 Ninja 400r??
