I had my hopes pegged on TD which gave me some great quotes a couple months ago…. now they are telling me they won't do a single motorbike Policy.

Dalton Timmis more expensive than even State farm..

So far State Farm / Certas has 'cheapest' prices for me…. but should be able to get cheaper insurance :)

37 years old - CLean record , shopping for small CC , used bikes that are almost worthless lol

lolol well its definitely not at Rider's Choice - twice the price of TD!!!!

maybe worth bringing my Auto insurance over to TD so I can actually be eligible for motorcycle insurance…

such a hassle
 
Have you called Aviva?, Allstate?, Mantha?

Contacted any brokers? CSIB?
 
I have a single motorcycle policy with TDMM. No issues, in fact swapped policy onto a new bike just 2 days ago with decent rate.

small cc as in 500 and under?

call Paul south at surnet insurance.

that will most likely be your lowest number

IIRC the guy above this post will only make a deal if you move something else like a car over with him and bundle it. and that's just silly.

give Paul south a call. almost everyone including myself has had a great experience with him.

Aviva should be very competitive for the OP and is able to insure it as a stand alone policy.

What are you considering "cheap"? I'm paying $<700/year through Dalton Timmis on a 1300, and my wife (complete newbie rider) was quoted around $500, both Dalton Timmis. Both of those quotes seem pretty cheap to me for bike insurance, honestly.

If your definition of cheap is $100-$200/year, you're gonna be out of luck anywhere.

$<700/year on a 1300???? I paid $2290 and now SF increased to $4180 and Daltons quote was even higher

Vtx1300 is a cruiser.

Your username suggests you ride a Hayabusa perhaps? That would explain your different experience.
