When to ask for disclosure?

Hello,
My date to meet with the prosecution and to either plead guilty or not guilty is coming up tomorrow, and I was wondering do I ask for disclosure tomorrow, after I meet with the prosecution, or should I already have asked for it?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

How do you negotiate with The Crown, without knowing what they have got against you? You should already have it.

I've talked to lawyers and they said that you just ask for disclosure when you go to meet with the prosecution. On top of that, when you request disclosure you need to provide a court date and I have not received a court date yet. I don't think that there is any negotiating going on tomorrow anyway, I was told that its just a straight plead guilty or not guilty and they move on.

Hi, I think it would be helpful to provide some more information on what has happened thus far.
I am confused as to why you would go and plead guilty or not guilty to the prosecutor.

Did you select the meet with prosecution option on your ticket?

Oh, I was charged with a HTA 172 (going 166 in a 100) offence and must go to court to plead guilty or not guilty. I'm pleading not guilty and need to ask for full disclosure, and looking for insight on the process involved and when to ask for it.

Well that's a bit of a different story. The way that you initially presented it, I had no reason to believe it was anything other than a regular speeding ticket. There are a few people here who have been through the same process, who will hopefully walk you through it.

Ticketcombat.com, although very informative, is not clear about when to ask for disclosure. My understanding is that it should be done soon after the notice of trial is received. It makes sense, but I can't be sure. Anyone here to clarify?

Of course, the OP should ask for disclosure right away since his court date was set when the ticket was issued.
