Wheel Alignment using the string method

Thought I would post this as it's a good explanation (with pics) of the string method of alignment.
For those that ride Ninja 250's and are considering doing their own chain slack adjustment, this should take some or all the mystery out of realigning your wheels.

Mods if you think it's better in the tech section go ahead and move it..

If the wheels are already aligned, all you need to do is make sure you move each side of the alignment nuts the same distance. It should stay aligned... I would hope.

not so good on the 250's and gs500's....I have found they can move a little when tightening the lock nut and then you need to re-measure...still it's a good way to ensure proper alignment especially for the new people with no clue about alignments and like the article states also a way to check frame alignment (useful when buying a used bike that looks too good to be true)

No problem on my GS.But it looks like the Ninja 250s have 2 nuts on the back, 1 as a lock and another for actual adjustments. I can see how one might tighten the chain a bit more when tightening up the outer nut.

Definitely, happened to me a few times, a real pain in the butt too when you think you're done.
