What's making this humming noise?

Hey guys, I know this will probably be hard to answer without actually hearing the bike, but does anyone know what could cause my 81 Honda gl500 Silverwing to make a humming sound while driving? I just noticed it yesterday. It's loud enough that if I concentrate I can hear it while riding. Once I use the clutch and start braking, I can really hear it. Once I get down to about 5km/h and am almost stopping, the sound stops. There was also some other strange buzz sound that lasted 1 second and would happen every 30 seconds or so while riding. I'm having trouble pinpointing where the noise is coming from, but it doesn't sound engine related to me. Any guesses? I know this is pretty random, but there's gotta be at least on guy who knows what i'm talking about! lol

Can you hear it while revving the engine, or only while moving? That is to say, does it go up with engine speed, or wheel speed?

Given the description, I vote front wheel bearing. Video w audio would help.

It doesn't seem to go up with engine speed. It doesn't seem to be engine related. It seems to go up with wheel speed, and as I slow down or come to a stop, the noise stops. I was told by a buddy who rides that it sounded like the bearings to him. Sounds like that will be the first thing I have checked.

Should be easy enough to check. Throw it up on a stand and give the wheel a good spin.
