What was happening at bronte and QEW?

I was riding home from up north, and was heading west bound on the QEW. Looking over on the eastbound side and there had to been at least 50plus bike pulled over on side of the hwy. parked all the way along the on ramp. Something was happening. I'm just hoping nothing bad. Or a memorial? Anyone know post up.

I'm guessing the rider that crashed there had passed on and they were having a memorial ride.
