What size wrench for CBR125R mirror?

Gonna stuff a 2008 Honda CBR125R into my mini van tomorrow night. I'm not sure if I can simply tap the mirrors off or if I need a wrench. Does anyone know what size wrench?

Thanks!

It's unfortunate that you aren't allowed to carry more than one wrench.

I don't always remove cbr125 mirrors, but when I do, I prefer 12mm. Might be 13. Quite the sticky wicket.

Edit: 14mm is not out of the question either.

Edit V2: Don't bother with 17mm, WAY too big, you don't want that.

i prefer a 15/32nds or even a 1/2 inch wrench.

don't you hate it when you're only about to bring one tool with you? its too bad there is not some sort of "sliding" wrench that can adapt to different bolts.

EDIT:

a metric vice grip may also work. you should be able to find one at princess auto

Wait a tic, are you stealing the bike, and if so, is everybody in this thread an accomplish?

It's a Japanese bike though, should only use metric tools.

Yup.

OP needs a metric vice grip like this

very true.
OP, if it will be "recycled" as a track or stunt bike, you don't need mirrors, so just break them off.

Make sure you use a quality pipe-stretcher on the mirror stem to make sure you don't damage it.

Don't worry about the mirrors, just load it up.

Should have known I'd get nothing but wise cracks! :D

More than one wrench, huh? Who knew? Pure genius! I'll go with it!

You are a valued gtam member.

wrenches are heavy. heaviness makes you get worse fuel economy, and will increase the wear on your tires.
you're best of grabbing a random wrench, and hoping for the best.

see if you can fold down the mirrors.

Your bike - adjustable wrench

someone elses - hacksaw

I just pulled it from the toolkit in the trunk... Good thing it had it there cause somehow the mirror came loose while riding and kept waving around.

Here's a piece of expert advice: use a ratchet strap from the handlbars to the fork bottoms to compress the suspension thereby lowering the front end.

I've enjoyed this thread, glad I could provide you guys with some amusement. Seriously though, this is useful advice. Thanks.
