what made this ferrari 458 crash like this?

inability to drive

just cause someone can afford a high hp car doesn't mean they should hahaha

Somebody learned a hard lesson that it isn't always cool to have the TC dial at CTS instead of low-grip or sport.

kids these days, gone are the days of 5.0 Liter mustangs and 5.7 camaros with no traction control hahaha

Inability to drive in general, and complete ignorance about how a rear wheel drive car reacts when you floor the f***ng pedal.

If you let go immediately, the rear axle corrects itself and you DON'T keep moving forward in an erratic pattern.

probably didnt learn a thing hahah will blame traction control

give a rwd car to someone who knows what to do with it and its a beautiful thing, give it to a clown and thats what you get

i meant how did the ferrari which was going straight then suddenly turn and slam like that?

Driving skill failure. I'm thinking that the road had low-traction conditions (damp, cold, whatever), and the driver was too rough with the controls. The driver jerked the steering when changing lanes and stomped on the accelerator.

I don't know if that model has any sort of stability control, but if it did, it was turned off, and the driver shouldn't have turned it off ...

I can see exactly the chain of events that leads to this happening. Yes, the 458 has stability control, there is a prominent switch on the steering wheel that turns most of it off. Assuming the owner had it off, he was irritated by the other car giving him no room to merge onto the highway. He was then going to shoot around him at full tilt, but was too rough with it, as Brian said. Hilarity ensues.

No, they knew each other. They both took off from the same on-ramp and the guy knew the lead car had a camera so he decided to put on a show.

You fellows are smart.
