what is your end of season ride like?

We all know the season is coming to an end. Would like to know where do fellow riders go for an end of season ride?
My end of season ride was to North Bay, about 700km. Original plan was to Algonquin park but then i was like lets extend it a little bit. Took only one cofee break and a couple of piss breaks. ;)

Gonna have to wait for 8 months before we can ride again :(

I don't have an end of season ride.. I ride all the time.. :)

I ride all seaon long - will avoid riding on days with snow or ice covered roads.
In Oakville I noticed a number of riders on the road in winter months.
I find wearing ski gloves, ski pants and throat warmer will keep on the cold.
Last January I rode to from Oakville to Mountsberg without a problem.
Just need to make sure that I alow time for my GS500 to warm up before riding.

Took my end of season ride on Friday and only because I sold it later that day. Great ride, did Hockley, Mono, River Rd Creemore and then up to Pretty River Provincial Park and then back by 2 PM for a conference call. I did text the buyer and almost called off the sale but the buyer showed up with a trailer and a cash so my bike is gone. My season is over for now. My FZ1 hit 60 000 kms on River Rd. The new owner got himself a great bike and now I have to look for a new one for next season. Enjoy the beautiful riding days and ride safe.

8 months? I plan to ride until December (or when snow hits the ground) and be back on the bike by April, or earlier if the snow is gone in March, that's only 5 months from now, and only 3 without riding, even then i'm keeping the bike primed and ready in the garage for any nice days during the winter. The only thing stopping me is ice and snow. Cold doesn't bother me one bit.

only like 3 - 4 months of no riding. Usually out full time riding by 2nd week of March, changes obviously based on weather.

No last ride. I ride till I wake up in the morning and see the roads covered in ice and snow. Then I get the car going and having a boring drive in the sanitized comfort of my car that I wonderfully neglect 8 - 9 months of the year.

I ride year round, only exception is if my street is not plowed. As long as it is, no matter the temp, I will ride.

I have had no issue with riding in the snow (if it starts after I head out), I just took it super easy and parked it in every corner.

good to hear you guys even ride in winter. It is only my second season and would love to try riding in winter, on clear roads of course. By end of season i meant like how we have these three, well two already gone, gorgeous days and we wont get them until april ( i guess). So i was curious if fellow riders took a long ride. Nothing special :)

lol, after i have started riding driving is extremely boring. Although there is a timmy new my place, like 5 min walk, i still RIDE to a far one ;)

End of season ride is freezing cold as I'm riding to storage.

35 north to Haliburton HW 21 in Haliburton - my company does a winter getaway there and I always wanted to try the last part, HW 21 on the bike. Nice sweeping bends and hills, little traffic. Had to get back for my nephews birthday party so turned around and headed back, but cut across Mongk and took HW 12 down back to Ajax. It was the best ride of the season for a few reasons, My VFR was smooth due to a long over due new chain, I dropped 10 pounds and that made my gear and the bike feel better, great weather, light traffic. This was on Saturday. Hopefully not the last great ride of the season, I don't ride in winter but I still see some nice weather ahead..

I can't say I've ever have a planned end of season ride. At some point it just gets too cold to ride and the bike sits, around when temps get consistently around 5C or below.

It's been over 20 in Feb and often nice late into November and early Dec. Just get layered gear and enjoy.
I mean the snow mobile guys its the BEGINNING of the season - no reason to quit riding cept for snow and even that doesn't stick around long in the GTA -
I rode all winter for 5 years in University...even rode home when the QEW was closed due to conditions.....
Bundled up , fell a few times that time as the snow was pretty deep on the side roads but with the winter gear on who cares -

My last ride of the year is usually a commute, to work, when I finally say, "OK, it's too bloody cold now."

I ride off roads, so my riding season never stops :D I just throw on some Skidoo gear, stud up my tyres and off I go. You haven't had fun till you race snowmobiles :D

When getting dressed takes longer than how long I can tolerate the cold, it's time to pack it in.
