I mean like living there forever.. or at least that is the plan.

If you're really serious, visit the US Consulate. They'll outline everything you need to know.

Head to the border and tell them you want to check out the job prospects. ;)

Unless you're marrying a US citizen or you have a job waiting for you, you're not moving anywhere.

Does selling seashells on the seashore count as a waiting job?

Are you funny? Try stand up.

I mean the first post wasn't a knee slapped but it's difficult to see as serious.

But, you can cut your teeth as an entertainer.

Try the acting route.

Fastest way? Cross the border, then commit a serious crime.

Well that one is a bit of a fine art. Not serious enough and you may just get deported... too serious and you may get the chair (I guess this would constitute living the rest of your life there though...).

I wonder if you could entice a US welfare bum to switch identities with you. He gets free Canadian social services and you takeover his identity, reform "Your" life and become an upstanding citizen.

Americans love repentant people that have overcome their vices. (Most of their politicians)

You didn't mention legal.

If you have education and a skill that qualifies you for a TN Visa status, that's the easiest way to work in the US.

I heard it's easier to acquire a green card if you plan on opening a business. True or false?

Sort of that, but more this.

You can't just move without a plan and marketable skills. If you have skills in an in demand trade with documented shortages of bodies to fill them, or at least in a trade where there's an abundance of positions, you might get a green card. Otherwise, get comfy on this side.

Be a nurse. Seriously.
