What do i do next after making deposit on new bike

so im in the process of buying a kawasaki ninja 250r LE, after putting a down payment on it and signing a contract between seller and buyer, what will i need to do next? hes going to get safety done for me tomorrow, can i register the bike under my name, put his license plate on it, let him drive it to my house, then just go get my insurance and get my plate? or is anything i just said wrong? let me know.

as soon as you get the safety you can go to the ministry and get the ownership transferred and get new plates. Then you can just pick up the bike from the seller. Or you can have the seller drop it off and go to the ministry, up to you. But you will need to get insurance before you go get the plates. I think the ministry ask you for proof of insurance when you transfer to bike to your name.
