What Company and how much?

I'm with State Farm and for my Yamaha TW200 it's around $800/Year. Which is a little pricy IMO, but would be much cheaper if I had my car and or house insured with them. Appently, State Farm also doesn't discount for experience or if you have completed a driving course, like at Durham College. I'm about to get another bike, maybe a Kawasaki 650r, and they quoted me 1800/year. But would be like $1000/year if had car/home with them. Kinda unfair, but business I guess.

Meloche and Monnex

Ex500 - $470 per year
Supersport 600cc - estimated at $1250 per year $750 in two years

Rodney you haven't shared with us your age or how long you've had your G license for, those can and will effect the rate which you are quoted. State Farm will give you a better discount if these are in your favor.

In addition, the multi-policy discount is not limited to SF, other companies do it too. Is your driving history clean, no accidents or tickets?

As a point of refference, even though SF doesn't give credit for M license experience but if you have a 500CC sport bike the premium is the same as a 600CC sport bike.

I'm in my 40's with a clean G licence, but don't have my M2 yet. Although, SF told me having an M1 doesn't factor into it. What does is the cc's, if below the age of 25 and driving record. I figured when I got my full M2 it would lower the insurance, or over time be lowered, but apparently not.

I would love some insurance company recommends.

Holy crap, now how does this makes sense. Me being in my 40's and a clean G licence. Usually when below 25 they hit you hard.

Hmmm, maybe I should check out TD. Thanks for the post :)

the best thing you can do is check every company, do not expect to call one company and get what u want. TD is great for someone your age but the issue is usually the bike you ride (unless u go with state farm because they go by CCs and not super vs. touring) call everyone! SF is the best for young people, people your age are better off with a bundle at TD or desjardins...try jevco, your best bet is to call an agent that can quote you from every company excluding the major ones

Ok, thanks for the advice :)

Jevco $910 vstar 650, I am 31 with one ticket (at the time)

Ok, I called a few basic (liability) insurance quote and here what the quoted me. I'm in my 40s with a clean record with my M1, getting M2 soon.

Jevco: $1155/year (but $600 following years)
TD: $1400/year
State Farm: $1600/year
Elite (Aviva): $1700/year

I went with Jevco.
