Doesn't matter if your dad makes more than 10k a month. Paying facility is just wasting your dad's just so his son can ride. But if he doesn't mind, go for it. Just wait it out until you can pay for your own insurance.

kids these days...if my old man paid for my insurance I'd have a liter bike instead of a 250.
Just to let you know, you'll likely have to pay the entire amount UP FRONT. So even if pops is making 10k a month, expect to pay almost half that for your insurance at 16...good luck.

Def not mature enough to ride a bike.
It's a lot of money to throw away no matter who's paying. With insurance, you're betting the company you're going to die, get injured, wreck your bike and/or cause property damage. The insurance companies don't want to take the bet. You might want to think about that and how it might affect you.
