I have called several kawasaki dealer, but all of them don't sell the oem green coolant. Some of them said it is ok to mix with other brands (e.g. Motol, prestone), some say just stick with the same colour. On the owner's manual, it says use antifreeze that contains ethylene glycol plus corrosion and rust inhibitor chemicals for aluminum engines and radiators. I went to a honda dealership and saw the honda type-2 antifreeze that has the exact description, but the colour is blue... Do you guys think it is safe to use the honda stuff to top off?

probably or just go to CanTire and get the green stuff. Which reminds me...gotta go get a jug of distilled water to cut my bottle of green coolant.

Any cheap green aluminum-compatible coolant will do the job. There's nothing special about the OEM coolant. There's nothing special about the materials used in an aluminum-block motorcycle engine compared to an aluminum-block car engine.

just do a coolant flush

It's faster if you remove the big hose at the bottom, but a large bucket to catch it as it flows out fast.
Buy 2 jugs of distilled water and do 2 flushes before you finish with coolant.

I just went through this recently. The Motorex pink and the Honda Pro green antifreeze for aluminum engines are the same things so it's not just colour. Need to check the standard code thing on the bottle.
